Our Vision, Mission & Purpose, What We Affirm & Profound Distinctions / Recognitions

Our Vision

The Victoria Centre for Self-Awareness
Generates Global Awakening to Spiritual Freedom.

Our Mission

To empower communities to their greatness through education and by being and living a model for transformation, to love, inspire, encourage and make a difference.

Our Purpose

The training and education of people in living more creatively,
successfully and happily in a healthy, holistic lifestyle.

What We Affirm

There is one Life, one Power in the universe,
and that Life, that Power, is God.

Each person is a unique expression of God
and this oneness can be experienced day by day.

Each person is free in matters of belief.

Our essense is spiritual, that each person is a spiritual being
going through a human experience, continuing to unfold
as a spiritual being even after the transition called death.

Heaven is within us as a state of consciousness.
We can realize it by expressing love and mastery in our lives
by removing the blocks to our awareness of love's presence.

Our mental states are carried forward
into manifestation and become
our experience through the
Creative Law of Cause and Effect.

Our natural state is perfect health:
mentally, physically and spiritually.

What we give in love - whether it be talent,
time or dollars
- multiplies and circulates
back to us: "As you sow, so shall you reap"
or "Energy returns to its point of emanation".

Service to others is service to God and
is the highest activity to which one can aspire.

"PROFOUND DISTINCTIONS / RECOGNITIONS"

Our Centre is a Community for Spiritual Awakening to Love at the Core. We teach HEALTHY SPIRITUALITY with no guilt, blame or shame. There are very profound distinctions that we have in new thought - distinctions as in recognitions that are noticeable especially in important times in our life and throughout each year.

At our Christening services we do not come from the context that a child is born in sin and needs to be cleansed. We know the child is pure spirit in expression and our christening service is to dedicate the child to living out of the conscious realization that he/she is immersed in God, an individualization of God. We ask the co-operation of the parents and God-parents in providing an environment for soul-remembrance for the child - to remember its divine essence.

In our Marriage service we never ask "who gives this woman?" The vows we present do not include obeying. The vows in our wedding service are commitments, promises made by a couple in creating a loving support unit of equal spiritual life-time partners.

Our Memorial services acknowledge that life is eternal and that birth and death are all transitions, changes in our life. We know heaven and hell are not locations, but states of consciousness and we don't have to die to enter them.

At Christmas time, especially at our Candlelighting service we acknowledge the Christ potential that resides within each one of us. We hold Jesus the Christ as an example not an exception.

Easter time at the Centre is about reminding us of the potential of victory and mastery over any and all challenges being presented to us either individually, personally and collectively, globally. The cross symbolizes the inner current of Divine life (vertical) and human limitation (horizontal). We are invited to cross out in consciousness any restriction, limitation, seemingly impossibility and unforgiveness. The resurrection depicts the rising from the tomb of ignorance, throwing off burial robes of limited thinking and believing and rising up in consciousness in a re-newal, awakening and commitment to BEING and living all we are meant to be as spiritual beings.

When asked if we are Christians the answer is both yes and no. NO: we do not believe we are sinners and that we have to accept a particular saviour or go to hell if we don't. YES: Jesus the Christ was Divine as we are; the Christ potential resides within us (we can live and express with no barriers to the love at the core that we are). Jesus never called anyone a sinner. We agree with this analogy for SIN: S elf I nflicted N onsense.

In New Thought we believe anything we can conceive (idea, desire, intend), believe (not blindly, but knowing we are dealing with metaphysical, spiritual principles); accept (know we are deserving of and willing to receive); we can achieve!

The Centre also has a commitment to teaching prosperity principles including financial intelligence. Check out our monthly calendars and bless us with your presence on Sunday and at our variety of programs, seminars and workshops. Come Grow with US in healthy spirituality and true prosperity.
