In New Thought we know that the law of mind is a natural law in the spiritual world. We do not create laws & principles, instead we uncover, discover & align our living with them.

The universe is no respecter of persons, it is impersonal & gives alike & non-judgementally to all. The law of cause & effect forever operates & governs everything; therefore there is a favourable physical response (an effect) following patterns of thought that incorporate ideas of health, wholeness, love & prosperity.

New Thought is complementary to medical science; when understood & practiced can & will assist in healing the world physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually.

We realize there can be no permanent healing (whether of our body, or the physical world) without a corresponding permanent shift in our mental & emotional life: being creative, peaceful & joyful.

God, universal life force/energy, Great Universal Spirit, is truly omnipresent - everywhere present; there is not one spot where it is not. It is an intelligent, powerful presence pervading all space & is self-existent cause.

New Thought is independent of race beliefs, subtleties of religious dogma & theological superstitions. Sadly, many people reject holy scripture entirely or accept them totally & literally; both mistaken methods. Each is only another path & cannot be considered to be the (only) path.

This Omnipresence answers prayer according to the immutable law & order of the universe. The answer to prayer is in the prayer when it is prayed, not in the inclination or disinclination of an anthropomorphic God who answers some prayers & not others. True prayer sees through the seemingly apparent conditions to a perfect fulfillment.

It may appear that God gives more to others because some are willing to accept more than others.

Spirituality is about inner focus, who we are & it challenges us to a standard of Being. Religion is about outward focus, defining our relationship with God; it is what we do & it challenges us to a standard of behaviour. Both are neither unnatural or supernatural.

According to our belief in God (one of love & just law of cause & effect OR one of vengeance) will be our estimate of life here & after our transition called death.

To believe in any soul's eternal damnation is to believe in an infinite monstrosity, which contradicts the universe's integrity & repudiates any eternal love inherent in God.

We live in a universe of Spirit & law; we can draw our inspiration from Spirit & we can utilize spiritual power from the law.

New Thought is a correlation of science, opinions of philosophy & revelations of spirituality applied to the real needs & aspiration of the family of humanity . Come grow with us at the Centre for Self Awareness.
