Rev. Dr. Gail Schultz - is the Co - Founder of the Centre. As Minister / C.E.O., she is the principal teacher of the philosophy, and is responsible for the selection of persons, materials and manner by which the philosophy is presented. In addition to managing the daily affairs of the Centre, she plans, directs, conducts or causes to be conducted the Sunday Celebrations, the educational programs & all other activities of the Centre's wholistic work. Gail also founded the Edmonton CSA and is the President of the Board of Directors of the New Thought Alliance of Canada. She was ordained into New Thought Ministry in 1984 by Roy Eugene Davis of the Center for Spiritual Awareness, Lakemont, Georgia. Gail's stand is "Soul Remembrance" and being the Dream / Vision holder for the Centre. |
President - Irene Parkinson - is a retired school teacher who has been attending the Centre since 1989, serving where she is needed, sharing ideas and taking courses. Her New Thought growth and understanding has enabled her to look and live life with verve, enthusiasm, and whole hearted experiences. A philosophy of "a smile is the hardest thing to give away" means you always get it back again. It works well in all situations. Irene's stand on the Board is "Sincere Service, Integrity & Commitment". |
Ray Schulze - Vice President / Treasurer - moved to Victoria in March 2000 to be near family and immediately became involved with the Centre for Self Awareness as a natural progression on his spiritual path. Ray received a 4 year Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Toronto and worked 2 years for a C.A. firm. He is now self employed in gardening and yardwork & loves working outside in the sun and dirt. He brings a positive attitude and a gentle humour. His stand is "Service". |
Karen Adam - Secretary - is a retired educator, world-traveller, and a life-long learner who likes to remain open to the possibilities offered in both new and old thought philosophies. She views the universe as a magnificent puzzle & loves to explore ways to connect some of the pieces. Karen's stand is for "Authenticity, Kindness & Spiritual Growth", and she values the Centre for the opportunities it offers to receive guidance & serve others. |

Gaileen Irwin - Member - grew up in the Comox Valley. She has been with Parks Canada for 29 years, working in NF, NS and AB. She strives to help people understand the importance of taking care of the earth. She is now Senior Park Interpreter at Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. For Gaileen, spending time in nature is one of the best ways to heal, release stress, and get more in tune with the spirit. "And she says to herself – what a wonderful world." She values the Centre for the opportunities to hear positive spiritual messages and for a place to grow and make great friends. Gaileen's stand on the Board is "Loving life and living green." – to live enthusiastically and in balance with nature. |

Pat Berard - Member - started coming to the Centre in March 1987 and is a Life member of INTA (International New Thought Alliance). She has taken many workshops through the Centre & has studied Kriya Yoga with Roy Eugene Davis and the Self-Realization Fellowship, as well as with Marshal Govindan (Babaji's Kriya Yoga Ashram, Quebec). Pat has served on the Board of Directors in different capacities and enjoys volunteering at Sunday Celebration & Centre events. Having reitred from working 22 years as a Dental Hygienist in December 1998, Pat has been living full time in a motorhome for most of the years since then & travels to the southern United States for six months over the winter months. Her stand on the Board is "Elevating Consciousness". | | |
